Fans are not happy
With the countdown to Grand Theft Auto VI fast approaching, Rockstar is seemingly making some changes to its current GTA Online service. Launched two weeks after the release of Grand Theft Auto V back in 2013, GTA Online is the online counterpart to the game which has achieved critical success mainly thanks to its roleplaying community.
Rockstar Games has also contributed to its success with the studio regularly introducing new content and updates over the past decade. However, with the release of Grand Theft Auto VI getting closer each day, it seems as though updates are slowing down for GTA Online.
Not only that, but its most recent update made changes to the multiplayer title that fans are less than pleased with. In an effort to continuously rotate content, Rockstar has seemingly vaulted some modes and races. This includes:
- Assault on Cayo Perico Adversary Mode
- Unknown Unknowns & Known Unknowns Races
- Cayo Perico Series
- Diamond Adversary Series
- Missile Base Series
- Bunker Series
- Issi Classic Races
- Race Series
- Overtime Rumble Adversary Mode
Although vaulting content is nothing new for Rockstar, fans were left confused when they discovered that Unknown Unknowns & Known Unknowns Races was one of the ones affected, considering it was only added a few months ago. Despite it being sad news for GTA Online players, it is worth remembering that Grand Theft Auto VI is just over a year away.
“Why would they vault the Unknown & Known races?!” one Twitter user asked. “They were released just a few months ago.” Another said, “How do you remove a main staple of the game?”
