The Institute of Statistics and Data Science at National Taiwan University invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions at all levels (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) with expertise in Statistics and Data Science. The academic ranks will be commensurate with credentials and experiences. The positions will begin in February or August 2023. Before starting, applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in Statistics, Data Science, or a closely related discipline.
Description:
The newly established Institute of Statistics and Data Science, College of Science, National Taiwan University, begins the first enrollment in the 2022 academic year. We are hiring additional faculty members to develop our academic programs. To promote the professionals and research in statistics and data science, the institute emphasizes developing statistical theory and methods as well as interdisciplinary applications of data science. The training in statistical theory and methods assists students in establishing the foundation for quantitative research and analysis. In contrast, the perspective of applied statistics in data science helps cultivate students’ professional skills in practical data analysis. We aim to meet the trend and market demand in developing modern statistics and tools for data science.
