Action Fraud found that scammers have collected up to £146,222,332 over the last year.
Per victim, this works out to approximately £20,500; for some more than a year’s wages.
One of the most common scams in the UK comes from fraudulent brokers.
Curtis Ting, Managing Director of Europe with cryptocurrency trading platform Kraken, said fraudulent brokers often approach interested parties.
