“Sex work has always been a part of human society, but to this day many people are uncomfortable discussing it. … An open dialogue is the first step to liberation, and, as my mother does, accepting it even if you don’t condone it,” Lexi said. “My story is about the importance and power of love, acceptance, not judging others, listening to understand, and breaking stereotypes, as well as overcoming trauma and abuse. I hope this encourages people to listen with empathy to other sex workers’ stories also.”
