Could We Really Be Waiting That Long?

PC gamers are sweating over the rumored release date for the highly anticipated GTA VI, that’s if this speculation proves to be true. After years of rumors and leaks, Rockstar Games finally revealed the first trailer for the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series, and it did not disappoint. At the time of writing, the debut GTA VI trailer uploaded to YouTube has now surpassed a whopping 205 million views.

Rockstar Games stated that GTA VI will be released at some point in 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, but as of yet, no set release date has been announced. However, a release window for GTA VI was later reduced to the back end of 2025.
Sadly, while we know that a PC version of GTA VI will be released at some point, no release date or window has been announced by Rockstar Games. As such, the anticipation is tearing fans apart.
“We all need to see this,” declared Redditor MaxSniffer007, sharing the previous release windows for GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2. To put it simply, as most of us will know, a Rockstar Games PC port usually follows a console release a year or two later.
If Grand Theft Auto VI were to be released in late 2025, it’s estimated that the PC port will arrive between 2026 to 2027, hopefully, it will be the earliest year of the two.
“I HATE waiting for the PC release, but that’s life I guess,” said an agitated RockyRaccoon968. “I watched the RDR 2 trailer the first hour it was out and I still had to wait three years to play it, damn it.”
“What makes you think that PC users will have to wait two more years after the GTA VI console release?” asked rakeemid.
“I still want to believe that due to all the pressure and all this time waiting, Rockstar Games is capable of releasing on all platforms at the same time,” said a wishful PhiltheAgony69.
Fingers crossed that we’ll have solid release dates for GTA VI by early next year for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
